(photo: alan peebles/bbc radio scotland) the tmsa young trad tour 2017 group have been working hard in the studio and then set out on the road to visit their home locations around scotland, starting with concerts last year at the isle of jura festival (23 september), glenfarg folk club (9 october) and celtic connections (3 february). the group comprises charlie stewart from perthshire, winner of the bbc radio scotland young traditional musician of the year competition at celtic connections joined by finalists: ella munro, scots song (skye); dougie mccance, bagpipes (glasgow); kim carnie, gaelic song (oban); iona fyfe, scots song (huntly); grant mcfarlane, accordion (paisley) and mohsen amini (2016 winner). due to availability, we are expecting the rest of the tour dates to take place may-june - we will update the information about dates, venues and how to book your tickets as it is finalised here . their cd is available now from the tmsa shop .
